What inspired me to start this blog?

Updated: Oct 18, 2018

In June of 2013, I began a solo journey as a 'modern day ascetic' - a sister, or female monastic, in the school of intution: an eternal book of univeral wisdom which is written upon the depth of the soul's awareness. As a unique soul-body, or inner child, each of us comes into a physical form to continue the study of certain aspects of universal wisdom, and also to put the fruits of our learning into service for all beings.

The journey has taken me thus far through Northern Europe, Scandinavia, and Northern India. The initial inspiration for the travel was a growing awareness of how little I really knew about life in other parts of the world - having spent the first 30 years of my existence mainly on the East Coast of USA.

At the time of this writing, it is mid-August, 2015 - more than 2 years have gone by, and through facing many unanticipated challenges, my perspective and understanding about self and life have been expanded and deepened. The journey has constantly reminded me of how immeasurably tiny my existence is in this vast universe among universes. Traveling like a gypsy through unfamiliar environments and cultures made me more aware of my notions of reality, and continually encouraged me to let go of my assumptions about identity and individual necessity. These experiences helped me sense the truth of interdependence, see with the wisdom of impartiality, and learn to embrace all with the essence of loving-kindness and compassion.

Adiatma is dedicated to the eternal light of love, innocence, compassion, truth and wisdom, within each and every one of us.

Through our efforts, we hope to inspire and support hearts and souls all around the world, who are upon the path of healing and oneness. We aspire to be a living resource in the collective process of learning and evolution, and in the perpetuation of intuitive understanding. May it be of benefit.

May the journey be blessed with the realization of eternal love, hope, and inner bliss...

and may we always be accompanied by the wisdom of 'patience with forgiveness', for self and all beings.

With loving gratitude for my eternal guide, Adiatmana

and for all the teachers & soul companions who have graced my life.
